Amid the lockdown, movie theatres and cinema halls had remained shut, owing to which many films took the digital route and opted for OTT release, thereby skipping a theatrical release. Now that the theatres are slowly and gradually beginning to reopen, several films such as Bunty Aur Babli 2, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Prithviraj and others announced the theatrical release date. Since so many films announced the release dates almost simultaneously, several films are clashing with each other at the box office. Two such films are Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe.
Today, the makers of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi announced that the film will hit the theatres on July 30. On Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday, the makers unveiled a new poster, as well as the teaser of the film, announcing that the film will release on July 30. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the makers of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam announced on Valentine’s Day that the film will release on July 30. This means both Gangubai Kathiawadi and Radhe Shyam will battle it out at the box-office.
The teaser of Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi released just a while ago, and it has received a great response from viewers. Alia Bhatt looks fierce and powerful as she plays the role of Gangubai, the queen of Kamathipura, in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
Meanwhile, Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar is a romance drama, and it has majorly been shot in Italy. The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
